Karin De Bondt

Karin De Bondt is the president for HVAC and Transport Latin America. In this role, she oversees the strategy, operations and performance of Ingersoll Rand’s Trane and Thermo King businesses in Latin America.

She previously served as vice president and general manager for the Thermo King Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) truck, trailer and bus businesses, where she led an international organization of more than 800 employees spanning more than 80 countries and was a member of the global Thermo King Leadership Team. During her tenure De Bondt was also instrumental in the 2015 acquisition of FRIGOBLOCK, the Essen, Germany-based manufacturing company that offers a line of transport refrigeration units for trucks and trailers broadened Thermo King’s portfolio of product and service offerings in Europe and around the world.

De Bondt joined Ingersoll Rand in March 2013 as regional director for Transport in the United Kingdom and Ireland. She was named the regional director of West and South Europe in 2014 and in early 2015, De Bondt was appointed general manager of sales and service for truck and trailer EMEA. During her tenure, De Bondt demonstrated her ability to deliver business results, including through challenging and uncertain conditions. She also had a record of building strong teams and capabilities, and supported a customer-focused approach that was core to her success.

Prior to Ingersoll Rand, De Bondt worked for 18 years at DHL where she served in a variety of countries and leadership roles of increasing importance from finance to marketing and sales. Her final role was the senior vice president of global business development. She has lived and worked in Italy, The Netherlands and Belgium for DHL.

De Bondt holds a Master degree in Economics from Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium and Diplome d’administration des Entreprises from Université de Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium.
